Nell Morris collection, 1930-1982.

Correspondence, photographs, magazine and newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, cookbooks, personal memorabilia, and recipes, including more than 750 recipes which were developed by Morris for Frito-Lay. The bulk of the collection pertains to Morris's career with Frito-Lay and her involvement with various food industry associations, such as the Texas Home Economics Association, Home Economics in Business, American School Food Service Association, Zonta Club of Dallas, and Texas Dietetic Association. Also, letters and notes to and from friends, colleagues, alumnae and staff of Texas Woman's University; school mementos; her master's thesis; and menus used at Texas State College for Women. While serving as the school's chief dietitian, Morris often included original verse in the holiday menus. A selection of these poems was published in 1942 in the volume Festive Poems.
